Anyone have this happen?

Saturday I fired up the Vector. Started no problem but the guages or lights didnt come on for like 1- 2 minutes. Why would it do this? The sled was idling fine up around 3000 rpm with the choke on. I know on my viper the light and guages wont come on until it idles up a bit. Meaning if the idle is low nothing works until the idle reaches 1500 or so. But the vector was at 3000. I know because when everything did come on thats where it was. Also this clutch rattle is killing me. Makes the sled sound and feel very cheap. Is Yamaha offering a fix for it yet? I know it doesnt hurt anything. But it drives me up a wall. Has a bad rattle at around 5000 rpm. So far I must say Im not sure if I like this thing yet. Doesnt have the snap my Viper had. Pulls hard from 50 on but down low it seems like it has nothing.

what do u mean it doesnt have the snap ur viper had?!?! a guy raced a 2000 srx 700 with 96 pics, ripsaw and 131 extension, raced a STOCK rs rage, and the rage smoked it!! a lot of guys say we havent made a real race sled since the srx and i believe it cuz they still sell for really high. just wait til u break it in, then it'll have all the snap u want!! but from what i hear u can get the rattle fixed, but then after awhile it comes back. but bout the guages, it does that because something bout the battery not having enough amps left to turn lights and guages on. dont worry theres nothing wrong with ur sled, its just on all yamahas. now if it does it everytime maybe u need to get ur battery checked or u might have a short circuit somewhere.

Mine did it once on a very cold morning.. I talked to the shop about it and he didn't seem to concerned about it.. Some kinda relay or something might be sticking he said.. Now if it does it a lot they can replace it.. MM.

Mine also did it on a cold morning....I wiggled the emergency shut off switch on the bar....pushed it down and pulled it right back up and everything came right on. I think that is the problem...maybe gets some ice in there or something.

Huh. Mine has every bit as much snap as a Viper, if not more.
I had a 1998670 ski-doo mxz before and I could never hit 110 with it and it didn't have near the excelleration and power band this Yammi has..
