I removed the chaincase cover for inspection the on my wife's sled (zr 7000). I have 2liters of yamalube and was wondering if both oils are the same so I can top up her oil reservoir!

Factory Branded Lubricants: This is one of the most debated subject on any power sports/ auto forums. As to your first question is it full synthetic? Then yes it should be the same as the chain cases are pretty much the same. The bigger unspoken question is if Yamalube or Polaris oil is any different than quality off the shelf oils and my opinion is that no they are not. Manufacturers do not produce the oils themselves they tender it out to oil makers to have it bottled under the factory label. If you can match up what you need then save yourself some money and more often inconvenience of going to the dealer to buy $12 a liter synthetic 0-40 motor oil or synthetic chain case oil.
I spend a fair bit of time on the Polaris ATV forums and the most contested subject is always the front diff fluid. Polaris says you have to use the AGL at $14/liter. It is basically synthetic transmission fluid. I went to the manufacturers site (Hilliard Corp) and they recommend synthetic UTF. Many will say you cant but in all honesty many of us have been using equal or in some case better alternatives for years with no ill effects at all.
In the long run, put in what you feel comfortable with.

My understanding is one of the points of the standardization and engineering labeled grades was they all had to be compatible even if not the same.
This began I believe with the military needing to be able to interchange oils or fluids . The 'true' history of incompatible synthetic and non two stroke led to a change in laws and oils.
So I now prefer to be consistent with brand and rating but do not fear incompatible failure
My two cents

sorry maybe I wasn't clear I'm talking motor oil!! I removed the chaincase cover, in order to that I need to drain the motor oil from the reservoir! (about 1.5liters) just wondering if the 2 motor oils(yamalube and ctec4 oils were the same) They are the identical motor thought the oil was the same just different names

I went to the cat dealer to get oil for the wife's xf7000. They told me the arctic cat kit is full synthetic. I said that is strange yamaha is using semi synthetic. So if this is true then no I wouldn't put the yamalube in hers.

Yamamarc this applies most certainly to motor oils.
So I don't know if they are the same but they are compatible to be mixed.

thanks for your replies I did add the yamalube in it. For now on I'm just going to use the same oil for both either yamalube or arctic cat's ctec4 what ever one is cheaper!

Wait for Mobil 0W40 to go on sale at CTC and buy that (full synthetic) at about half the price of Yamalube.
