I am wondering if I should put on the extros or just stay with stocks drivers. I have a 2010 Fx Nytro and it ratchets the odd time under a lot of load. Anyone have any experience with putting 1.75" track on their shorty nytro with stock drivers?

I have ran lots of 121, 136, 144" nytros with a 1.75" track with stock drivers. Just tighten up the track to tight spec and it should not ratchet. Extros are nice and work well but not imperative to have.

I ran a backcountry 1.75 on my 09 xtx with stock drivers never had an issue. Just ran the track fairly close to spec. If the track did ratchet I just gave it half a turn or a full turn on the adjusters . Once the track got broke in never touched it again

I would spend the money if you spend a lot of time riding in snow like your profile picture. I had a buddy that ran big lugs without extros and he had to run his track very tight and it would still ratchet in the deep snow. I'm glad I spent the money on them.

XTX is a different animal. You can get away without them alot easier on the XTX because it has a different approch angle.

Yea I am leaning more and more towards it because I keep hearing good replies about keeping the stock drivers on a xtx but not much for the shortys!

Anyone out there have any luck with keeping the stock drivers on their 121??

ive been fine with stock. i only have a 1.5 and dont do a lot of off trail stuff. i would put them in if ya got the ching tho.

I'm puttlng a 1.75 in my XTX today, stock drivers. I feel alot better about it after reading the responces to thie thread LaLaLa

If you do any substantial amount of riding in deep stuff I would go with extros. I have an XTX with 1.75 BC and stock drivers and I am in the market for extros. I run my track tight and it has stopped it on trails but anytime I'm in deep stuff it will still ratchet.

Will Extros off a 2012 rtx fit on my 2010 drive shaft??
2012 RTX driveshaft: 8HF-47511-10-00
2010 FX driveshaft: 8GL-47511-20-00
2012 RTX Extroverts: 8HK-47532-10-00

Anyone??
