Anyone Remove there RA cable and leave it out?

Can I just set my rear shock to one setting and remove the adjuster cable all together? I rarely play with the adjustment and the cable is always breaking anyway. Is the shock end of the cable adjust the same as a clicker shock? CW or CCW to stiffen? Is there a stopper at each end of the rotation or does it just spin around 360*?

YES you can run it w/o cable just find a rubber kind of boot/cap to fit over cable opening on shock so dirt and water doesn't seize it up, your cable spins the oppesite of the dial so it easy to figure out, and yes it does have a stopping point at end of each settings, I use a RED robertson screwdriver to make adjustements it fits perfectly into the square hole.

mine broke in 06 and havent used one since.....ice buildup they dont last long.
