The ripsaws are not so great in the loose stuff. The 1-1/2 tracks are about the same as the 1/4's for hyfax wear. You will be fine with the 1-1/2, lots of luck with the crossover

I cut my track, it didnt hold up too well, the powder tracks are designed for high speed trail riding 80mph plus, lost about 5 lugs. Since the I have put a 9004C 1 1/2" lug with no issues, 700 miles so far. Changed gearing to a 40/23 and had Jeff Simon set up a clutch kit for it, Jeff did an exceptional job, dialed it in perfectly.
