Anyone still getting the stainless steel y pipes for 100$ ?

I am putting this part # 8FP-14610-10-00 into port yamahas site and am getting a price of about 178$ per side for the y-pipes. According to the older posts I have searched, the new stainless steel pipes should be about 91$ per side.

Am I missing something????

Give me some time as I had mine changed under warranty last year. $ 90ish sounds correct. i'll try to find my invoice? could be dealer cost?

I'd call around. I paid that price for mine. I hate when they go up so much in price in such a short while on things. Ticks ya off.

I checked on them back in july at port yamaha and kevin gave me a price of 90$ a side.

Purchased a set in Toronto, Canada at Dcn $110 per side in late November 2010 - dealer said he was giving me a deal. Maye he was!

The "new" stainless pipes come with a flange that keeps the
snow out so yamaha jacked the prices up, I got a old version
from port for $91 bucks, call kevin he might have one old
style left.

I just installed a set of the "new style" and I have to say that the little tabs of stainless that were added to keep snow from getting up to the clamps are definately not worth the extra $$. Yamaha basically doubled the price of the pipes when they made the little upgrade. Wish I woulda taken a picture before I put them together for those of you that don't know what the difference is....

Also, check YamahaSportsplaza.com. They have better prices (30% off all parts) than Port by quite a bit. Not sure if they have what you're looking for though

Definitely call Kevin at Port Yamaha--great guy, great response, and very helpful answering my questions and my total in November 2010 was $178 shipped.

Good luck! I'll tell you one thing about the install though... I will NEVER go through that work again! 8 hours for the full job...had to use a damn sawzall to get the y-pipes apart...what an engineering miss on Yamaha's part!!

Alright, went to Port Yamaha yesterday, got my new y-pipe. I got there last 91$ version of the stainless y-pipe. Saving me quite a few bucks. Apparently Yamaha Engineers think the excess donut wear is due to heat and moisture. That new flange on the new y pipes is suppose to keep snow from entering where the y-pipe and flex pipe meet, therefore reducing the wear on the donuts. People with the new pipe will find out I guess.

Put the pipe on yesterday, it went pretty smooth. My sled is seeing the wear of 12,000 miles though. The rivets supporting the pipe bracket for the two y pipes are ovaled out, and that bracket now does nothing. Also broke a head of a bolt, making things more exciting. Just need to put a few panels on and its all done.

You will NOT break the heads off if ya use some heat! Just a small pencil torch will do.
