So I'm thinking about upgrading to a 9 tooth driver from an 8.

Has anyone tried the Doo drivers on a Yamaha shaft? From what I can find the Doo shaft is 1 1/8 and the Yamaha is 1 1/16. Should a guy worry about the .060 difference?

Royal distributing lists thier drivers to fit both sizes with one part #

So does Whal Bros,

I've seen Yamahas with the Doo drivers. Anyone heard of someone them slipping because of the smaller shaft?

The nice thing is the drivers are cheep from Doo and available locally.

Lets hear some thoughts on this.

tracksusa has extros for a 1 1/16 shaft from a Doo for $40 each, I just ordered some. Best price I've seen.

Well I went to a Doo dealer today and they had them in stock.

For anyone interested part# 504 152 503
I got them for 55 bux Canadian in my hot little hand.

The "doo dude" said that when they first came out they were around 35 a piece and Doo has changedthe part number since and jacked the price. :? Either way still a good deal. I'll get some pics and post them if anyone wants to see what I'm talkin about.

Anyone want some 8 tooth extrovert drivers for cheep?

How does this affect gearing going to the 9 tooth drivers, did you make any changes? Went to my local Doo dealer and he is $71.96 each no stock but can order. He's the reason I bought Yamaha in the first place! I will buy your old one's Tony when you have them off!

I'm sure it will have some affect on gear ratio. Bieng that my sled is boosted it shouldn't have a problem pulling the 9 tooths. Of course I could be wrong and buy a belt or two finding that out.

If it's a problem I'll change the gearing to compensate.

As soon as I get the drivers off and determine they are in good shaper I'll let you know about selling them.

Are the ski-doo drivers available in 8 tooth 1 1/16 shaft??? I don't want to go through the hassle of gearing changes and more expense to install 9 tooth.

Is 9 tooth better than 8 tooth??? My 04 RXM is stock except for reverse with 23/40 instead of 21 top gear. I just punched out the windows of my track and am researching the best anti-ratchet drivers. The doo ones seem like the logical choice.
