I have seen 121" extended to 136" skids stab tracks

I agree that plastic to rubber contact is not good. That will create higher heat and friction, when not running a fully clipped track. The other thing I could see is that every drive tooth will not make contact with the windows. Every other driver will make contact with the clip causing premature wear on the extro. Arguements could go on forever on rotating mass. My belief is, give the track rails and clips more lubrication by running all windows open, and less friction by running fully clipped.

Any stock 121's? Skidoo does not use anti stab kits on their sleds with extroverts. I wonder if the difference is in the angle of the front rails being steeper?

Approach angle different?

See the link attached for the anti stab install for anyone looking. I would like to here some more feedback from the guys running the 121's if they are using this or not. I know kinger already said he does not, but I am assuming he is still a 121" skid. I am assuming for some reason that 121's are ok and anything longer creates an issue. Not sure why? Any thoughts?

damn it.....you guys made me go look closer at my sled. Yeap, my drivers are a bit melted. Not to bad, but some nonetheless. I do have a fully clipped rip saw on there now and she sure is making allot of clanking noise so I looked at the tips and I see wear pretty bad.
I think this anti-stab kit is for me!
Just another part to add....lol

I plan to run 10lbs this season. If i'm having trouble @5ish lbs, I will for sure have worse at 10lbs. I'm tired of hearing this clanking noise.....
I know it's the clips hitting the tips....

Is that engine ready for it? That's what that noise is.

I run 10lbs on my apex with a 121" Zx2 suspension and doo and now avid drivers. The only time you need a anti stab kit is when your changing the rail location ie cutting them or doing a set back skid.
I have no idea why you would run a anti stab kit just because you have a extro driver. It doesn't even seem to matter if you have a longer then 121" to me but maybe I'm missing something. the only way to stab a track is for it to ball up in front of the rails, when we have less then 1" clearance its next to impossible to ball up the track and stab it through a rail isn't it?

What happen to my friend(not mentioning any names on here) Was he hit a tree branch under the snow and it was a small one. It gave the track that little push to put it in a bend right there and stab the track. I'm glad one of us had a pocket knife. Ended up having to cut the track in half on the side of the trail. Then towing the sled out of the woods.
I just dropped off the drive on my 09 Apex RTX with the Wahl Brothers extrovert drivers at Roseville Power Sports. I was talking to the service guy and he has a Nytro with Wahl Brothers drivers. I asked him if he shortened the rails and added the anti stap wheel kit, and he said no, and he has not had any issues. He said there is no clearance issues with a 121" track and Wahl Brothers drivers. He did say however, that the Skidoo extroverts have a longer tooth on the drive and will make contact with the plastic cap on the rail end. He said that guys are grinding down the ends of the Skidoo extroverts that protrude through the window to prevent this from happening.
This is just a heads up for anyone not wanting to cut their rails and add the anti stab wheel kit.

We never said you had to have them on a 121" just cheap insurance. and it helps with rolling resistance

I dont think they are needed on any track that is longer then 121" either.

Nothing is needed on your sled. This is just a recommendation. Let's see, $70.00 or $500.00. I'd take the $70.00
