Anyone tried this? (for my wifes small hands and thumb)

I haven't tried it, but it does pique my curiousity. Did they give you a price on what one would cost?

It's a Snobunje product. Costs about $12 most places. Search "snobunje throttle flare" and you'll get a bunch of suppliers. I've seen it in various catalogs over the past few years but I've never personally tried it.

I see no reason it wouldn't be worth trying, but it looks like it's secured with a screw in the middle of the lever. Drilling a hole through the throttle lever with a thumb warmer might bother me a little bit. Or maybe it just goes on with adhesive?

Have you considered just flipping the throttle around and having her use her fingers? Most hands have longer fingers than thumbs and you can pull with either or one, two or three fingers!

Works great for me for 40 years!

Just my two cents...

I have tried that but the heater wire for the grip gets in the way and I am afraid of ripping into that wire with the throttle.

If you have an 06, just heat up the grip and rotate it. If there are rivets, you can remove them and re-rivet. Mine has 5000 miles on it and is running great.

Turning the grip around might be a dangerous idea! If the driver grasps for the bar to hold on You could grap the trottle wide open by mistake! It can happen with the trottle lever in standard position but nor quite as likely. Just my opinion and I could be wrong!
