I think the only advantage these offer is a cool look. If I was building a sled for shows with OPM, I would get them just for that fact, There is nothing I have seen for skis out there that have a better wow factor.
As for having money from log homes, I hope he kept some, the log home buisness is dead right now, there are two in our area running at a shoestring crew. If your looking for a log home kit, you would get a deal right now from any of them just to keep the doors open.
