Cant say i noticed any significant sinking last night. The trails are not mush, but they are soft and not rock hard and they seemed to perform well. Not saying the 7" wouldnt do better, but as for darting, the new skiis i just didnt notice it at all, and as for the softer trail conditions (again not mush) there was no regligible steering effects noted. Worked great for me........
