Looking at the K-mod or doing an EZRyde. I'm looking for an much improved ride in the moguls, with less bottoming, but I don't want to give up any reliablity. Any and all comments appreciated!
dave, dont forget to look at timbersleds suspension upgrade. drops an estimated 38 lbs on the nytro.
easy ride= $2000+
they better send someone to install it for me for that price. LOL! ski

Dont know if you have any experience with Timbersled suspension of just heard from a friend who had a friend...
but first hand experience...the Timbersled is INCREDIBLe even for rough trail...it is all in how you do the pressure in the shocks...
my first hand shows this and my buddies M7 has it, and yes it is INCREDIBLE for powder, but it has made him go from WAYYY last ont he trail (and sore back next day) to head of pack, and NO pain the next day from the wooped out trails to the powder...
HIGHLY recommend the Timbersled...IMHO, it is like BOss seat, wont own another sled wihtout both items, and with the Nytro, you drop a true 38 pounds...is actual weight savings...
just purchased
well, I just bought a new nytro, and first thing I did, was call Timbersled and order the full kit...front and rear kits...shaves 47 lbs. off the sled...INCREDIBLE!!!!

put that ytz 7 battery in there and get about 55 lbs total. ski
I currenty ride a Phazer Mtn but IM leaning towards a Nytro but basically know nothing about suspensions and such.. Why would the Timbersled only be good for the Mountains??? My assumption would be that it is to weak to handle the harder terrain...Please advise. I ride in the UP near the keweenaw peninsula...all off trail, but when we can't find no fresh powder it can get a little rough. Would be very interested to add this to my 09 Nytro

Re: just purchased
You might want to consider a pair of floats for the front as well. Stockers aren't very good. You'll already have the pump with your Timbersled kit so you can just buy a pair of shocks to fit the RTX from Yamaha. Not sure if it saves any weight as I didn't weigh them. i have Timbersled front & rear on my sled and really like it.

col, thanks for the input, was planning on doing that...but after the vacuum sound from the bank account with new sled and full timbersled, I thought I shoudl let the wife see some money coming back into the account
in other words, they are being ordered

Ok, still exercising my options..... comparing the K-Mod and the TimberSled upgrades, are they both durable for rough trail use, at leaset as trust worthty as the OEM suspension? I know this is an open question, but does one ride smoother or better than the other in big bumps?...Thanks
