Payment Information

You can send a PM or email to Srxspec@Gwtc.net with your name, address, and a phone number. If you want also include whether you will pay by credit card/paypal or by money order and I will put it all in our data base and contact you as soon as the kits are available. If you chose include your credit card information for payment and I will keep that on hand as well, but nothing will get charged until the product is shipped.

You can count me in for a set too (I'll send a PM to confirm), but before I do I'd like to know how much clearance you decided to run.

Did you decide to make one side tight and one side free? How much clearance on each side of each bushing?

I was going to have more oilite bushings machined for my RTX before I read this post (many months ago). My plan was to (as I did with the rear suspension) make bushings with fairly small clearances. I went with something like 4 thou (0.004") clearance for the harder material side and size on size for the softer material side (aluminum shafts in the rear skid in this case). It worked perfectly and after over 2000 miles the oilite bushings look new and the shaft is no worse than when I installed the bushings. The original plastic upper front arm bushings were literally gone and the aluminum shaft was starting to groove in about 500 miles on my 07 RTX.

BTW, I don't think 0.004" is necessarily the "right" number - just what I chose (and my bushings were custom machined for my particular sled parts). Stock the clearances are huge and I want to tighten the front end up a fair bit.

The tolerances range from .003" to .005" depending on how tight the particular a-arm, etc is. This is down from the stock factory bushing tolerances of .008" to .012".

Just a TTT for everyone to see the topic for those that missed it!
