need help with my 07 ER. After she is warm and I let off the throttle coming into a corner, I get a wicked backfire. Thought it was a fuel issue but after 5 tanks of new gas its still at it. any thoughts?

You most likely need to service the exhaust donuts...

Is the backfiring caused by cold air entering in because the exhaust donuts are not sealed

Unburned fuel in the exhaust tract should be nearly devoid of O2. That is why there is no backfire when your donuts are in good repair.
When the donuts wear out, air gets drawn in and that unburned fuel goes snap-crackle-POP.
