Ok guys, I'm at my wits end. I have been trying to install my chaincase cover all evening, spent 3.5 hours trying to install my cover. I have an 06 apex with reverse. I have read a bunch of forums,.watched YouTube videos etc etc. The issue is after I install the cover and then hook up the reverse linkage, the linkage won't move, it's like it's seized. When I install the cover I make sure the forks are all the way up and then carefully with a flash light I make sure that the reverse fork goes into that groove, as it catches the groove, the case closes nicely. What am I doing wrong. Please Help!

you cannot move it at all? have you tried wiggling the arm as you install it? sounds like it is either wedging into the gear or bottoming hard in the groove.

Can't move it at all. You mean wiggle the fotk linkage? Cause yes I wiggled it as I.install the cover. And the fotk drops nicely in to the groove. I just don't get it.

did you do a track change or why did you remove the cover,Did you have the chaincase stripped apart? With the cover off make sure the spring loaded reverse gear slides back & forth, did you verify the linkage/arms are installed correctly& on the right side of the brackets?

I blew a jackshaft bearing and jackshaft melted off the shaft in half , the secondary flew off and cracked my primary clutch. So I replaced all bearings even in the chaincase. I took everything apart very carefully and put it back exactly the same, I can move thst reverse gear back and forth no problem with my hand. Now you have questioning the linkage, but there is only way to install that.. not? I just took the top one off, the rest stayed on..
