Apex code 81 hand warmer help please?

I am eliminating my handlebar warmers and just cut the wires to the grips giving my a code 81 of course. What are my options to get around this. Do I need to wire in resistors or can I just connect the wire in some way to get rid of this on my gauge. Thanx for any help. Shad

If you turn them to the off position it shouldn't post error code in the pod. That's if I understand you correctly. You've eliminated the hand Warmers.
