The grips will not get hot at idle. The ECU will only let full power to the grips after 5k rpm. It also limits power to the grips when the brakes are applied.I finished installing the new handwarmers yesterday. I fired the sled up and put them on high and within 5 minutes they started to get warm. I’m excited to see if they outperform the originals. My sled is a 2010 so it was supposed to have better handwarmers from the factory but they’ve sucked from new. Unfortunately I’m currently nursing a knee injury so I don’t know when I will be able to actually ride the sled to see how they perform.
Any chance you know the part number for that harness? I went to my dealer yesterday and the parts guy couldn't find it.

Do yourself a solid and get Yamaheaters with boost. This is the best way to keep your hands warm. The system has a Nuclear setting that sends full power to the grips at all times.
Another mistake people do is wear too much glove. Too much glove does not let the heat from the grips to you hands.
