Apex Error Code 12

Last year I was on a bagger trip and sled wouldn't start in the morning. Had the machine brought to the dealer $150. He tested every thing on that sled and even traded parts from another sled and still no go. Stator checked out OK, but was the last part to change, fired right up, $800. Transportation to catch up to rest of group $350. Even if the stator checks OK doesn't mean that is any good.

With mine it wasn't the the stator but the crank position senser and its not even wired into the stator but the wiring shares the rubber plug that seals it into the side cover. Its a assembly, go figure.

I suspect that's what was wrong with mine too. The coils looked fine, and externally the sensor looked fine too.

How hard of a job?

Not very hard. 2 guys doing it took half an hour, maybe a little less.

1. Remove the side panel and lower panel
2. Remove the oil tank or unbolt it, cap the lines and swing it out of the way.
3. Remove the bolts for the stator cover and remove the plugs from the cover.
4. Took a spark plug and screwed it into the small plug to use as a puller.
5. The wires from the stator run to the nose of the sled. You might be able to fish the harness out with a little work, but it's easier if you remove the headlight pod and the plate in the nose.
6. Remove the 3 (I think?) bolts that hold the stator in the cover and 2 bolts that hold the wiring harness in place.
7. Push the stator and cover back into place and reverse all steps.

2006 Mtn Apex Boon Docker Turbo wont start no codes help

had my motor up to change left and right bulk heads as I hit a concrete bluck burried in the snow. Now I saw Err-01 what is that when I tried to start it. No codes below 11 I thought so what is err-01 on the gauge thought battery was dead and that would not surprise me so I put it on the charger and as long as it is plugged to the charger the sled will power up Red light comes on gauge cycles but when you turn the key the yellow caution light comes on and the engine symbol pops up on the gauge screen.

Anyone have any ideas? it does not even try to start those to things just happen yellow light and engine symbol let go of the key and they go away turn the key back they come.

help please.
