What a joke???? My Apex front end is sloppy. Seems like the bushings are made of paper??? Ordered a better set from Pioneer. Looks a little involved replacing them. Anyone done it before? How about a brief description.
Thanks to suggestions found here and my past experience with the SRX and Viper I checked my left drive axle bearing and it was toast after 4000 miles. A lot easier to replace than I expected.

Basically you need to remove everything you would when doing an oil change to get to the front bulkhead bushings. Mine made it about 4000 miles but when I did change them two were worn through so I would suggest earlier intervals if you are aggressive. It all depends on how much you use the susp. If you greased them more often you may get more out of them but in order to grease you have to dissassemble just as you would to replace them. Unless you add grease fittings or holes. I figure it's eight bushings why not just replace if your that far into it. The bushings in the A-Arms seem to last longer as they are much thicker. You could grease the A-Arm ones when replacing the bulkhead ones. The hardest part about the change is geting to the lower arm shaft nuts. Not impossible but make sure you've got a good hold on it because if you strip the nut you're in deep. A few things; the A-Arms will never be solid, meaning they're going to have some play in them, if they didn't they would bind. Apply a generous amount of grease to all bushings including the white cup style on each end of the A-Arm. You can flip the front to back if the rear ones seem worn or distorted, then next year just buy eight. When tightening the A-Arm bolts remember that they are shoulder bolts and tightening the nut more will not tighten up the A-Arm. After you look at the end caps this will make more sense but whenever you grease the front or rear susp. remember to shoot something between the bulkhead and the end cap. Also the rear bulkhead bushings are installed from inside the motor comp., not the outside were you may think.
