anyone have thier seat start to rip on 06 apex gt, thier are 2 points sticking up by rear trunk in front of flap, dont know whats under thier, but thier starting to wear through the seat, vinyl has slightley cracked, just a matter of time till it ripps throught any suggestions on how to stop this.

take the seat to an auto interiors/upholstery shop,,,it;s amazing what they can do for reasonable money,,,I had a rip in my seat that a shop fixed great for $5 !

I'd take it to a DEALER, it sounds like a flaw when it was manufactured. Never heard of anything like that.

My 07 started to wear through in that area after one season. Right along the top of the rise or step at the back of the seating area. It looked like there was a wire in there that had a small loop at each end that broke lose inside. At each end the loop was wearing through the vinyl from the inside. Dealer called Yamaha and the replaced the whole seat under warranty. If you still have warranty (YES) I would see what they would do for you.

no warranty, yea i got to get in thier and see whats pooking up, almost seems like 2 screw heads
