I've been ripping up my pipes underneath my sled, had them repaired 4 times and now shot. Running Woodys 1.32" studs on a 1.25" track. Running at high speeds with a turbo so gettin a lot of weight throwing those 192 studs around and reaching the pipes. Anybody have a fix as to what works for them?

pipe damage
I had the same problem. I had to put tunnel protectors all the way up to front and I replaced y-pipes with stainless steel replacements instead of factory titanium. The turbos have higher exhaust temps therefore causing the factory titanium pipes to distort and have a memory when they move thru expansion. No problem since changes made.

I have the track about as tight as I dare run it. The smaller idlers may help. I welded another 1/2 of steel for additional tunnel protector which seems to have helped but can really feel the track hitting it. I understand Yamaha now has the steel Y pipe for $99ea. might have to go that direction.

Get an ice ripper xt
Have to make sure the tunnel protectors reach that area. If they don't have protetion they will still get hammered.

You may or may not, you can see that I did but I might be running higher speeds which may be causing it. Also running 192 so more weight going around.

You need to add to the stock tunnel protectors if your boosting!!!
That is a MUST DO with a TURBO... Not a problem stock.
I added old hyfax to my OEM tunnel protectors and I've never had a stud grab the exhaust in the tunnel at 130 MPH+ with a 1.25 ripsaw and trail studs.

I have 06 Apex GT MCX rear mount, same problem. I switched to 1" predator track, 3 others grenaded including an Ice Ripper. can't take the torque. Have put hyfax on tunnel protectors, when you run the track too tight the mono shock gets excessive wear so need to deal with that issue. Local Yammy dealer indicates they have had machine shop make extensions to lower the upper idler wheels. It would be great if we could buy a manufactured part to bolt on.
