I am gonna give this a shot myself...why not, what could go wrong?lol I have the studs and the track drill/hole bit/punch. Just need some help from you guys. I presently have 144 studs. A row of single backers (2 each row) then a row of double backers. I am looking to add 24 studs (woodys) to give me 168. My question is how many rows are on a 121" track? It looks like I have enough room to add one stud to each row...I just need to know how many rows/lugs to space them out.
Also, how hard should I tighten the nuts on the stud? They are the nylock nuts.
Also, when using the drill, am I pushing down hard on the track? On high or low speed?

They are 48 lug on a 121"
Nut on a stud should be torque at 15 ft.lb
Drill the hole at high speed, wait a bit you will see smoke and the bit will pass trough the track wit little effort. The idea is to burn the rubber and cord to keep the strength for the stud.

Thank you RockRTX, that pretty much sums it up. I will then be adding 1 stud every second lug...24 x 2 = 48.

I had 168 in my track and if I remember right you go 96 down the middle with 12 double backers and 72 on the outside with single backers.Great traction and cornering setup!!!MCApex44 said:I am gonna give this a shot myself...why not, what could go wrong?lol I have the studs and the track drill/hole bit/punch.
