I had a mis-hap with my RTX this weekend.....

question is will the 06 style bars work on and 07, or is there different connections for the heated grips. i also noticed they are about 1" taller...

Also, how bad were the heated grips on the 06 bars?

I too had a Mishap lol, I put the 06 bars on my 07 and they work great. They are hotter than ever, cannot even get them over 3 bars or you will burn your hands. Its due to the harness. They do work.

Rode about 7000 kms with them and absolutely no issues.

Dude, get it done, it works and its worth it, plus the 06 grips are thicker= more comfort.

if you read alittle,you will find the most popular thread on this entire site is about 06 bars/grips with 07 wiring...

yes they are higher too.

Yep, the handguards fit fine. Was is a bad fall?

i took the impact. the bars bent from my weight, and the left floorboard is bent, but we are pulling it back and putting the new reinforcment rail and getting her back up. i'm sore as hell, but nothing broken... damn trees don't move!

Sounds like my ditch without the trees. Good to hear nothing broke (on you that is). Get her patched and show her who's boss!!!
