I bought a used apex attak and it had the headlight bright switch broke off. I checked the parts store and you can only get the complete handlebar housing for $110! I heard a buddy found just the swith and took it apart and installed it himself on a kitty. This seems like the better route. Any ideas on where to get one and if this will even work on the Yami? Or even a used housing from someone on here.
Are you talking about the Hi/Low button?
My buddy broke his off two years ago. Went to the local dealer and ordered a new one for $10 or so.

Yes that is what I'm talking about. I guess I should try a different dealer. Are you talking about the Hi/Low button?

Funny thing though. The same dealer that I got the part from is the one that said they only could order the whole cluster. Once I gave them the part number they found it for $6.
Also for anyone else trying to do this: You just take out the bolts holding the handlebar cluster on, then take out the small screws that hold it together, then the screw that holds the switch in, then push the new "button" into the rubber grommet, then slide the switch back in, then reassemble and attach the cluster. Easy Peasy.
