Can anyone help with injectors for apex what will possibly fit . Subaru guys with knowledge of these would be great help Looking for 550- 600 c.c. This is the hold up from going to dyno we need more fuel Thanks for any help that comes guys.

I have a set of injectors that will fit. They are real short and allow your rail to sit right. These are 550 range but work really good at the higher rpms these motors run. Had the Subaru injectors and these were better. Pm me if you want them.

Wow 550cc is large!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a set of 450cc (supposedly) purchased from boondocker for mine but I can't tell the model... they (boondocker) have BRUSHED it.... just plain stupid if you ask me!

They are about 1/4" longer than stock injectors so I had to shim the fuel rail somewhat.

Boondocker did not do the scratch off. The fuel injection company that supplies the injectors did. PS your Boondocker injectors if they are the black and blue ones will flow much more than 450cc.

Yes black and blue.

If not boondocker, then whatever company did this is plain stupid

Actually it's good buisness. The company does all of the work flow testing at different rpms checking for consistency and flow pattern buying tons of different injectors to see which is best and then should just give up the info for the betterment of mankind? This is how the few companies that will do this ground work for you without requiring you to buy 50000 pieces can make a little $.

Okay... then why Dave at powderlites did not hide any RB3 OEM contact information? He did a #*$&@ load of work to make this thing work with our motors. THAT is good business if you ask me!

I purchased a bunch of fuel injectors for my mod cars, and never had one with brushed numbers.

Next time I will get a set of yamaha injectors oversized (yes this can be done!!!) will cost less and at least I will know exactly what I am getting.

:o|

You don't get it Boondocker got these injectors from a fuel injector supplier scratched off already. I worked with this supplier way back in 2006 when these things first came out. It was very time consuming to get an injector that worked to satisfaction at these rpm's. Or even have anyone want to work on the project when there is not a huge profit for the fuel injection speciality company. It isn't as easy as put a 540cc injector in and go. This specialty company sells you the injectors this way. They wouldn't send me any injectors to test that had any identification on them. Boondocker is NOT the one scratching the #'s off. This is how the fuel injection reasearch supply company makes it's $. Pretty simple concept.

i have tested a lot of injectors(stock) and the flow play between 375-380cc/min

but the best i think , use stock injectors re-drilled at 440cc/min!!

work very well

I do have the big injectors already.

But if I would redo again, I'd get a set of stockers redrilled just like you!

were can a guy send the stock injectors to be re-sized and how accurate are they after they are re-drilled ?

There is NO need for bigger Injectors for you guys with small turbos... use a adjustable regualtor

stock injector flows 330cc at 43 psi if you take that same injector at 60 psi it is now a 440cc injector

we do this all the time.. we start off with a 65lb bosch injector and turn our static fuel presser to 85lbs that makes our injectors 90lb injectors now.. with our standalone EFI i can see what duty cycle and how much we are flowing so this makes my job easy to tune..

I know for a fact that our injectors can go as high as 135 psi before the lock up.. NOW a stock will not I would say keep it under 90 psi on boost so a guy that runs 20 lbs of boost would want to keep his static no more than 70 psi..

1 more thing you should know stock injectors are HIGH IMP injectors and and yamahas ecu will not run LOW IMP injectors
