Just doing some plumbing on my apex for my turbo to drain into the side cover case behind the primary clutch. I have the cover off and all is well but I have to scrape the gasket now from the sealing surface. Now I am wondering if the pto/counter balance shaft can be removed or will anything fall off into the motor?

You can probably pull it out but you will not be able to get it back in properly because the chain that drives the water and oil pumps is driven off of that shaft.

I doubt you'd get the drive chain off to get it out. Like DC5 said it'll be impossible to put back in....it's hard enough to get back together with the engine on the bench lol.

Thanks guys I'll have to pick away at it I figured as much looking at the manual.
