i have an attack with 144 extensions and was thinking about putting an apex mountain skid in. i am running a supercharger also. just wondering how weight tansfer is with a apex mountain skid. my monoshock don't tansfer weight good or maybe just to heavy in front. what is the standard length on the apex mountain anyways. the monoshock bottoms out way to easy is the mountain skid better as far as that also.

Mine is a 162". Rough in the bumps. Don't know enough to know if it's the length or the weight but it is a b*tch to sidehill with- first time was yesterday. Like the horses.

The Mnt. skid works FINE! I would suggest setting it up to your weight. With that being said I would suggest these things to help you out, pull the limiter straps up two holes from stock, put a set of anti-bottoming rubbers under the stock torsion springs . Next order the gas charged shock from the Venture rear skid and replace the worthless rear shock from the Mnt. skid with the Venture shock. This will make the skid perform very well for stock and no bottoming, now if you want a good all around ride have that Venture shock valved for your weight and riding conditions "BEFORE" you put it in the Mnt. skid. Pioneer or Carver can put a three way valve stack in it to make it work wonderful and feel really cush on those 6" to 30" moguls on the trails to the mountains. Sell your current skid to pay for the stock Mnt. skid and the upgrades I listed. They should be easy to come by since a lot of guys replace them with the Timbersled skid. You can order new rails from Ice Age Manufacturing in the length you want the skid, or just buy the timbersled rear skid and botl your rails to it. Hope this helps! Oh and the skid has worked awesome for sidehilling in 6" of powder or more for me and everyone else I've let ride my sled, it's all in how you place your weight and ride the sled. Ride it like you stole it and it will love you...ride it like the sofa and you'll hate it! CHEERS

I'm running with 312 hp. The weight transfer is similar to a Big Foot monster truck. As soon as I hit the gas the entire sled rolls back, I feel like I'm digging a three foot trench but in actuality the track is fairly flat and linking up like crazy. The exeption to this is when I'm throttle on and actually catwalking over the top of a hill.
If your having trouble in the rough stuff, it could be your front setup.
With stock skis and 55lbs in air shocks, it was woop de do h@#ll. With Gen II Flexiskis and 75lbs in the Foxes. I can nail the straight side of drifts; the whole sled goes straight up and when it comes back down I can throttle on and catwalk right through the next one. If I'm not throttle on through the rough stuff the rear shock is inadequate to soak it all up.
