Hello all
I demo the Yamaha sleds last winter and really enjoyed the Apex ltx gt,ltx, and rtx. I am in the process of picking one up in the next month or so. I know that some dealers will not want to work with prices because it will be peak season for them. I am thinking of picking up a 2008 or 2009. What would be a reasonable price to get one of these machines? Any other feedback on these machines would be helpful. Thanks

you can get a good deal on an 08 like 800$ rebates on certain sleds. also dealers are still gona work with you on price the way the economy is peaple are not going to be breaking down the door to spend 12,000$ on a new sled so the price will be discounted considerably. at our dealership we were power surgeing apex ltx gt's at 11,200 less rebate.

I would think that you could get a really good deal on an '08 with the '09's on the way.
I am not sure what they changed on the '09's but I doubt that it is anything earth shattering. If it is just small things that are improved, I would think that the '08 would be the better value.
Anybody know exactly what improvements (if any) are on the '09 Apex?

The only major change is they added the rear heat exchanger.

Should be able to buy new 2008 Apex LTXgt in the 9s USA $. Some of the dealers bought a bunch for white & red colors then have blue for 09s. If you favor ohlins then 2008 better sled for you. Can buy YES either way.

Did Yamaha add a rear heat exchanger on all of the '09 Apex's including the short track?
No other changes? Same lame handwarmers?

As far as I can tell they did. Including the 121. I haven't seen anything on Handwarmer upgrades.

It looks to me like they did nothing with the handlebars or hand warmers, but they did change to a bigger hand guard on the rtx version.
