Racin Station had a poll recently on what we would like to see for our Apexs.

I love my sled!

Compliants that are not being addressed

I will probably end up wrecking my sled because of the way the side rails grips ice up after playing in powder! To me this is important as I have wrecked one sled before by slipping while standing on the side rail! If we could have Ski-doo boards it would be awwesome. the heated boards only work good for melting snow on your way home wide open on the trail! But when we play we pay! And it could be dangerous! do you think a guy could run heat thru there like the handle bar warmers?? You would only need for about the first foot or two!

Rear suspension bottoming out

Are there stiffer springs out there for 230# guys. The fronts are addressed by the floats, but could we put floats on the back also?
I plan on buying floats for the front, but what can i do for the rear?

thanks guys for any input or info found! I might think about trying to open up the rails myself for clearing snow better, traction is not the greatest in the footwell either!

I cutted a bunch of 1.25 " holes on my running boards and have reinforcement plates so they don't get too flexy!

I have the stiffer springs on back and middle and also scratchers to adress the bottoming issue. Guess If I was lighter it would help.

My wife's RMK has edge style exchangers like Doo and Cat. It doesn't have the large holes though and the running boards ice from the foot wells to about midway back. The Doos and Cats need stiffeners because of the holes allowing the boards to bend from the rider's weight.

I think all four manufacturer's should use both styles (edge and under foot) with no large holes cut in to eliminate all icing and running board bending problems. With the dual exchanger running board method; this probably would eliminate the need for factory rear heat exchangers like my wife's RMK uses and some guys put on their RX-1 mtns also.

When I put a lighter aftermarket tunnel on the SCRX-1 mtn (eventually), I am going to try and attach my factory under feet exchangers and plumb the cooling system to this dual method. The lightweight aftermarket tunnels all seem to come with the edge style system so this would be the best of both worlds and no bent "dance floors" caused by me "dancing" from one side of the sled to the other.
