Apex seat conversion

Is the handlebars, risers, cables and hand/thumb warmers just a plug and play option form an 06-07 apex to the RX1?

No the bars need rewiring to work and the cables all need to be upgraded to 05 mountain cables for enough length.

What is different about the bars from Apex to RX-1? I just put the riser on.

There is a couple of machines being parted out in my area, what can be of use for me as far as handlebars go, and what kind of price would be fair?

Bars (shich you will have to look up the rewiring diagram)
trim ring and riser
seat
rear exhaust covers and the tips which require changing the brackets on the exhaust pipe tips
or you can uses the stock rx ones and the seat just rides off of the seat angle a bit.
You will need the rear seat fasica if your are going to use the triangle tail light and change the connectors to plug it in.

If you use that light and fascia you will have to use the apex covers and tips

I would actually like to use the stock tail light and exhaust covers, would it be visually distracting at all or will it all flow nicely?

it will work fine its only if you want to run the other tail light

X2
I put a 4" riser on and the pivot adapter which gave me about 5.5". I had to get the mountain cables but the wiring was long enough. I did straighten the stock handle bars a bit because the angle wasn't comfortable. It is super comfortable now.

Along with everyone else, I agree, worth every penny and minute. I just put a 2" riser on it with all stock cables. Just had to reroute some of them, I'm 6'2 I really need a taller riser but it's a spare sled now and spends mos of it's time in the trailer. I kept the Rx1 lights and trim, everyone thinks that is the stock seat for it. Looks sharp and the seat is 100 times better than the original. I had an 05, although the seat was a little nicer then the 03, still doesn't compare to an Apex seat.
