Just bought 7.5 Shapers. I had them on my MXZ witht the old flex-ski. Darting was eliminated becasue the Shaper cut a new path. Handling was also better, they really cut well.
Bad thing is, they do hang down a bit lower so on marginal snow conditions they can get get beat up pretty bad.

I've run shapers on my simmons and they are much more agressive...they are also heavier steering...

I have been very pleased with the C&A Pro Razors.

Viper_Dave said:Those who were at the 07 January TY ride saw what shimming the stock ski and adding Bergstrom Triplepoints will do. I rode 1 day with stock ski and no shim. It darted like a Brahma bull!! That evening I replaced the stock bars with the Triple's, and shimmed the rear of the ski 1/4".Next day, NO DARTING!! Ran over 100 mph and could drive 1 handed! Lot's of opinions about what you can do, but I KNOW this works. I later changed to Slydog Powderhounds for the added flotation. This ski does everything well. Good trail manners and excellent offtrail. This is on an Attak. They really float the fronttend up and allow you to SEE where you are going. The stock ski's sunk badly and spprayed a LOT of snow over the hood. Hope this helps you !!
Have you had much time on the new skis when you put them on? I am looking for some powder skis possibly and was looking at c&a, and slydogs. How wide are the slydogs?

I put about 1,200 miles on with these ski's. No issues at all. They are 7" wide and have a very unique keel design. Go to there website and you'll get a good view of it. Much lighter steering thaan the old C@A Pro's on my Viper. With 8" Bergstrom Triplepoints and the ski's aligned and shimmed my darting is eliminated. They also float the front of my Attak very well. I go 300 lbs. fully dressed to ride, so between the sled and I there is a LOT of weight to float LOL! Great trail manners as well. Good bite on hardpack and almost as good as the old C@A's. Hope this helped you

Thanks Dave! I know my 05 Rx-1 was hard to steer and did not do real well in powder. I am looking to avoid that with my Apex. I know you can never have too much float for these 4-stroke machines but I hate to have a poor handling sled on the trails. I have been leaning towards the powderhounds but was not sure until now if this would be the way to go.
I appreciate your post. I hate to spend the cash for new skis for a sled that I have not even riden yet but if it makes it steer easy and not dart it is well worth the cash.
Thanks Dave and everyone else too!
