Just wondering if a 2010 apex gt has a speed limiter? Bought this sled last weekend and after making sure everything is running fine I put it to the bar. Not as fast as i've been reading. It was his wife's sled so I'm assuming he limited it for her. No book, but thought someone might have some insight.

Cheers.

If you checked everything over, why do you need to ask if it has a limiter???
May be you slowed it down.

Checked the basics and went for a ride. Thanks for your help though.

Give some detail on your speed and why you think its slow. What are you comparing it to? Don't believe everything you read, speed varies by location. Lots of people are willing to help.

Tops out at 95 mph? That's quite the discrepancy since others getting around 110 stock. I'm comparing it to my father in laws '07 apex that gets above that completely stock. Same area/conditions

The speedos on 07 are off about 13 percent. 2011 are off about 1-2 percent. Don't know about 2010, but maybe they are more accurate as well. If that is the case, the difference between 110. and 95 is not all that substantial...onlt a few mph. With that being said, what rpm are you hitting??. What conditions are you testing this in?? FYI, my 07 attack hits 110 mph on GPS only in very, very hard pack snow. Speedo used to say 125(until I fixed it some). Also tachs out at 10,800-10,900 at that speed.

best way to compare is run it against your in laws sled and see if it keeps up.

Under ideal conditions, and I mean ideal conditions, You should see between 105 and 110 on a Radar or GPS, and between 120 and 125 on Speedometer.

127.6 mph on radar and 142mph on the speedo in 2800'

Hey Kuvasz, I think he was asking about stock sled speeds. If yours is stock, please share your secrets, cause you got the best one one the planet.

my sled ran 119.1 last yr best time in 3000'. i changed my track to a 1" lug and made my own ram air lid and big wheel kit that's it guys. i could've picked up another 2 mph if i could've run another 200'. that's 10 mph with those few changes and i would still call it stock because i didn't add any performance modifications. giving the sled more air isn't a performance mod it's giving the motor the air it needs to make good power it has hidden. $1000 for 10 mph that's alot cheaper than a yamacharger? if i could get 130mph across a normal lake would you bother buying a turbo or supercharger? the only sled that will get past you will be one of those sleds.
if you need any help i'd be glad to give you any tips.
