Since I pulled out my skid, I thought I would ask for input on where my limiter strap was set. This is from my '06 Apex RTX. I would like to get it to corner as best as possible. My Fox Floats are now set at 55 psi. Here is a pic. Wondering if I should have it in a different hole or not.

The shorter you make the strap the more ski pressure you will have most put the bolts it the 3rd from the shortest lenght
that would be the 3rd hole down in the pic at the bottom

Really depends on how you think it is handling now.Like The Artist said, the shorter you make the strap the more ski pressure you will get(which usually gives better cornering). The key would be to balance it out to where you get good cornering without to much steering effort. Many will say you need to upgrade to a better ski, but try pulling the straps one hole tighter and see for yourself.

its not hard to adjust in the sled i would tighten it up one hole and try it from there also some aftermarket skis curve sx,usi x2,ive had good luck with them both

I have the same sled with 10,000 miles on it and the best set-up for me(great handling) is limiter pulled up one hole from stock, 40 psi in the floats, 13mm bar, and pilot skis (huge improvement over stock)

limiter

If I'm not mistaken there are 5 hole sets in the strap. It looks like yours is backed off from stock (middle set), definately recommend going back to stock or even 1 up from stock where I run mine.

X2 ;)!

1 up

Thanks for the responses. I guess I'll try it one hole up from where it currently is and see what happens. Unfortunately, that test will have to wait awhile as I don't forsee any more riding until next season. Bummer.

Dont waist your time with strap. Helps a little. Spent the entire winter playing wit strap, transfer rod, spring settings, air pressure front shocks etc, etc, etc. Still pushed in corners with 8 " dullies. Put pilot skies on last ride. 6 " carbide up the middle 4" outside . Thing rails now. Like a new sled. Wish nI had done at start of season

My $.02 is new skis are a must. I'm trying Simmons this year, from Spddmon.

My limiter strap is second from tightest. There is still some slack in the strap when sled is level on concrete, however.

I'm still tinkering with the transfer rod on getting that right where I want it.......
