Apex sway bar movement?

Is the sway bar supposed to move back and forth (side to side) on older apex's? Mine moves about 1/2" maybe more back and forth. All external linkages are tight. Just checking,

I built new bushing for mine to tighten it up, there was too much vertical play in the stock bushings for my liking.
