apex tail light install on 03 rx1

I am currently doing the apex seat install on my 03rx1. I want to use the apex taillight also but am running into problems with the stock exhaust not working with the plastic exhaust shrouds or tips from the apex. Can someone point me in the direction of what modifications I need to make to get it to work. It would be greatly appreciated. I have read all the threads on the how to install the seat but install of apex taillight and rear plastics I can't find.thanks. in advance
 
Try yammyrider. He did it last year on his 03 rx1 if I remember correctly.
 
He has a post going on a park brake cable for his rx1atm. He just answered a post I made on that thread

Did you ever figure this out? I'm interested in doing the same to my 03 rx
 
You will need apex side exhaust covers and the rear trim piece. These will work with the stock rx exhaust tips.

I did get it to work had to use the apex plastic shields and the rx1 tips. You have to bend the steel flanges in the bottom of the pipes in to get the angle to match the exhaust shields. Also have to washer the single top bolt out. If u cut the brackets off and re welded them on the same way as the apex then you can use the black tips also. I like the rx1 aluminum tips better.hope this helps
