Apex to sound like sportbike ?

i couldnt agree more with w8tn4snow on the type of sound that aftermarket exhaust have been putting. Listening to an r1 screaming at red line on highway gives me goosebumps. Hearing an apex with an aftermarket exhaust on snow, well sounds more like four fat woman farting simutamously. A bit of stretch but still, crotch bikes give out that high pitch wail that absoloutly screams high performance. Its the same basic motor. IF and WHEN i hear an apex sound like an R1, i ll have one on my sled. Till then stock it stays

An apex will never sound like an R1. An R1 does not use a CVT and it revs a couple thousand RPM higher than an apex.

Well if anyone out there has a stock exhaust they would be willing to donate for testing purposes id be willing to see what I can do about building a pipe that sounds the way we want it to .
Afterall if a man can take a pile of pipe and make it sound like a trumpet and another pile of pipe sound like a tuba with the same amount of air forced through it then im pretty sure I can make a sled sound like a bike .
If anyone wants to give this a shot then feel free to shout at me .

Well i openened up my muffler and did a little surgury . Its a bit louder and has a nice tone . Ill have to wait for some snow to tell if i like it .
it really isnt that difficult to do . I can tell from just a run on the stand that its not the sound i was hoping for .
Im ready for snow so we all need to do the big snow dance and tell the gods we're ready !
