Hi,
I just did the deal on an 08 Apex and am looking into extending the track - I was wondering if anyone makes a under tunnel exhaust that can be used safely for trail riding, I want to put a BOSS seat on the sled!! Any information would be greatly appreciated, when would you install it, which company to look at - thanks!! By the way I am coming from a Ski Doo Rev, cannot wait to try this baby out.

I have been looking for the same thing. I did check out the Excell Mountain Lite exhaust who told me directly that it is "very loud, and not trail friendly."

Boss makes a seat for the Apex that requires no exhaust mods.
As for changing the exhaust you won't gain much except noise. They shave a few pounds off but don't really give you any hp gains. I've given this alot of thought and unless I find a smokin' deal on something I know sounds better, I won't touch it. The weight is not an issue for trail riding. I'd rather save my $$ for NOS.

I really like my undertunnel exhaust from M&M motorsports (TJ's) but to achieve the correct look, you need a seat to go with it. Sound is sweet, and not too loud. It will bog when the ehaust has no where to vent to ie buried to the tunnel stuck or just sitting in deep snow, but i have not experienced the bog in over the hood powder when moving fast enough to allow proper exh venting.

I made one for my apex mtn.I don't have pics but I bought the muffler from hauck with out the 2 little muffler and tail pipes. The outlet on the muffler i cut on a 45 so it blew the exhaust on a 45 degree angle out the bottom. It sounded awesome but was a little on the loud side.

i think this is the one i bought from you pro. i installed this on my sc apex mtn . it removed a bunch of weight and made the sled much crisper. had to add weight to the primary ,bouncing the rev limiter. thought i had problems in deep pow but the problem was not enough intake air. installed a snorkel and problem solved. not too loud in deep pow but a little loud on the trail, sounds sweet!!heres some pics

That is the look I am after - does anything need to be done to the tunnel to close it off or does the BOSS seat cover it??
