Any ideas- just changed the highfax and my sled won't start. Ran fine it was just sitting in the garage. It turns over, after a second or 2 it sputters and then nothing. The little engine light is on when turning over. Other than that-nothing.

Change out the plugs...

I bet its flooded..

Ya, i know it sucks.. It takes a good hour to chang the darn things..

yeah the sliders are bitch on these....used to drop skid on my machs on NO TIME...this mono skid is a prick to do alone....but i still prefer dropping skid over trying to remove them with skid in sled....either way its a bitch....

Im so glad I got all the wheels now perfectly located where i SHOULD be able to get a ton of miles now out of a set of sliders.....

let us know if you get her started...maybe just let her sit awhile and she will go.

The plugs aren't that bad to change when you've got everything torn apart for an oil change. Welter is right though...they certainly don't make them easily accessible.

true if you got the light pod entirely off plugs are pretty quick...i would think it should start if it sits awhile maybe??....

never know...always abit tricky with EFI and flooding.

I know on my sled, if its flooded, you better plan on pulling the plugs, because it will never start..

the fuel injection on these sleds dumps fuel when cranking..

I am in no hurry. If I let it sit over night and I will try when I get home from work. I thought it was strange that no codes were flashing. This is the first time my sled did not fire in over 3000 mi. My sled eats highfax every 1000 mi regardless of conditions. I have rode in descent conditions so far this year but the pig does not care.

I did the "cut in the tack window" and slammed them out with a Zipgun, nice and easy and then the same to get the new ones in with hammer end on a Zipgun. Done in 15 minutes ! Sounds aggresive, but without going nuts on the gun, it worked great.

I just read an interesting way of changing hyfax in another post. Loosen the track, stick a screwdriver through one of the windows in the rear of the skid and pry the hyfax loose from the rail. Then spin the track by hand and force the hyfax through a window. Put the sled in reverse and it will rip right off. That sounds like the route I will take next time!!

Assuming that a Zipgun is an air chisel, yeh, those work well for sliding them out through a track window while the thing is on its side.

all i do is loosen the track,

remove the screws the hyfax,

Pry the hyfax away fromt he bumpers using a screwdriver and pound on the end with an old piece of hyfax and a hammer..

Once it starts threw the hole i grab it with a visegrip and PULL..

antiseze on the new one helps it go back on and helps it come off later..

Loosen the track ... Get the hyfax pushed one inch through track hole.... put sled in reverse and tap the gas ...... your done almost..

lube rail and hyfax and slide through hole......add srew with anti seize ......now your done.......

WOW every grand, ya gotta change out the hyfax? You need to try something different!! Try runnin the track as loose as possible. How bout some extra wheels? are ya road burnin? No snow? should not be burnin through in a grand, somethin ain't right?
