Just want to clarify before I order a new windshield for my apex er. The stock is the low 12 inch windshield? A much colder ride than my 03-rx1. Wind was hitting me in the chest and lots a wind through the helmet. I'm 5'9", figure the mid 14 inch windshield should do it. Any opinions. The first 2 days were cold around 10F at night. The last day riding in the afternoon was 25F. Temp definately plays a huge factor with this sled. Did not feel cold at 25 and had to turn down the hand warmers.
On the positive side, this is a much improved sled over my 03 rx-1. Handling and ride is no comparison. Hope this is reliable as the 03. 12,000 miles when I traded her in. 0 problems only gas and oil. For you Michigan guys, trails were great in the Grand Marais, Seney, Munising area. No traffic, passed more groomers than sleds. Put 500 miles on the sled. Also no wheel problems.

I have an Attak and placed an order for the TALL windshield.
I was confused regarding the Mid. windshield also........everything said that the Attak CAME with the Mid w/s........but it was so low.....I figured I had to go to the tall one. Now I thought I read something that said there are actually 2 Mid w/s!!! WTF??
Oh well..........I know I'll be warm behind the big shield.

As far as I can find out from anyone, the stock ER/Attak winshield is not the mid in the catolog, it is an inch shorter. Running RR grade at high speed, my head and helmet were not too bad, but my shoulders got very cold. This is because the tall area of the shield (if you can call it that )is quite narrow.
Around 6"2" BTW

Nothing wrong with it at all. Just waiting until they are in stock so I can check them out. I look to this site for info too............the stock ER aint all that bad, prolly the tall will be perfect for me
I tried to order a blue chrome one and it's on backorder til Feb.
