Performing a track swap to a 2017 Apex X-TX 1.75 to a 1.25" Studded. Making changes to drivers, however also noticed the front exchanger protectors are removed.

Anyone stud a sled that originally came 1.75"?, Anyone add protectors to an X-TX?

We pulled those out when installing the 1.6" Ice cobra. It has cleared so far. The big fear was heavy breaking from what I was told. If you can get some square tubes tig welded in there, it would be smart. But a pain in the butt. You should not have a clearance issue, but they were in there for a reason with the short lug version of that sled.

Good luck,

I wouldn't be worried, I've never seen them hit. Be sure the top and rear protectors are there, however.
