APEX XTX OFFICIAL!

This is one nice sled i just dunno why so many people are dissapointed i thought this was what everyone wanted. more power better warmers skis etc etc etc... even ps how cool is that. No doubt the price is a bit steep but i think they will sell

Disappointing. I like all the changes and they do make sense, but to stay in the 150hp class after no changes for years is sad. I expected either a new Apex in the 170hp class, or a new Apex in a Nytro-style chassis in the 150hp class but lighter. I loved the pull of my '07 Apex RTX far better than my '09 Nytro XTX, but I prefer the handling of the Nytro way more. I was really hoping Yamaha would bring these two designs together with a bigger HP Nytro-styled sled. Too bad.

150 hp, but they did change the motor to product a wider power band and removed some engine breaking. Those are possitive.

Not trying to burst the bubble.
But...
Take some time to read about the Nytro XTX skid frame updates that guys are doing to keep them strong enough for the pounding.
Same skid going into the heavier Apex, humm???

I'm sad to see the engine breaking gone but I love the APEX XTX :yam:

Th lack of engine braking really keeps the front from Diving when you let off into a corner.

All I want now if for them to offer an XTX in Black, and with with Floats all around, but I'll be happy just with the black and standard shocks.

Huh? Wouldn't it be better to put on an electronic clutch and drive-by-wire? Then the whole "powerband" issue is completely gone.

And engine breaking? That is a GOOD thing -- should NOT be reduced or removed.
