Morning all,
So new to here. Thank you for all the great information. I have my 2012 Apex stripped down to replace the exhaust donuts. The two bolts that hold the front of the Y pipe just spin. My question is can I drill out the rivits that hold the mount on and just slide the y pipes back and then slide it forward and replace with new rivits?
Thanks in advance.

As long as you have the muffler removed or at least have the four bolts securing it removed so as to be able to slide the complete EXUP/muffler exhaust system back, I would think that would work. I had to do something similar on my RX-1 where I had to drill out the rivets for the bracket that the two Y-pipe headers slid into. At least with the two separate y-pipe headers, it was easy to separate/remove the headers along with the bracket so I could remove the stripped out bolts and then just re-rivet the bracket. With this being the EXUP, it will be more involved if wanting to remove/replace bolts so doing what you suggested would be easier and should work as I do not believe there is anything on the underside of the tunnel that would prevent you from sliding that bracket as it's attached to the EXUP to be moved back some to replace donuts.

A friend did that..but we gave up drilling those button heads out,and one guy suggested just riveting the pipe holder..and it saves tons of time. Just drill out the rivet the nexr time for donuts. 10 apexs,a few sold off, but he had a good idea!Morning all,
