- Bought a new 05 Vector which I still have
24K miles
I think it's been talked about here before but before the season I put on a new 121 x 1.25 x 15 Ripsaw (all holes open - every 3rd clipped) with the Quiet Track technology. My sled is a 2005 Vector ER with 11,000 miles.
With almost 400 miles on it I can honestly say that the track has reduced the mid-speed "howl" by a good 75%.
If I keep the sled and want to stud it, I'm not sure what my options will be but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I put the same track on my 2007 Vector GT. Got it for $350 from Tracks USA. I was skeptical but the folks at Tracks USA said people had been putting them on Yamaha 4 strokes with great success but they also implied that the "Arctic Cat quiet" part of the track would have no affect. It's good to know you can hear a difference. I've only ridden 20 miles so far this year so I haven't noticed if there's any difference yet.

Hmmmm....I read up on the track b4 I bought it from Tracks USA and Camoplast (I think it was C'Plast) said that the Quiet technology was developed to help minimize the resonance between the track and tunnel which seems to mainly occur in 4S sleds.
I dunno...seems to work for me. I CAN feel the wheels going over the ramps at speed.
Do you have the part number for the track? I also have an 05' vector and would like to get the quiet track. Thanks!

Just go to www.tracksusa.com. You can't miss it. Give them a call if you have any questions or want to order. They'll give you the part number if you need it.

Yes what fastdave said. Just tell them you want the Cat Quiet track Ripsaw.
FYI - all the holes are open but only every 3rd is clipped. I don't recall what Tracks quoted me (maybe $100?) to fully clip it but I didn't do it (money was a bit tight at the time) but wish I could have. I'll likely fully clip it over the summer as a DIM project.
Only have 500 miles total now but I still feel there is a significant reduction in track howl, but again, I can feel the idler wheels going over the track ramps at speed. I'd have to believe that I'll be changing idler bearings more often (I have an M10 in my Vec)
I do not see a track on that website advertised as a Quiet Track.

CENA - call them and ask. They'll know EXACTLY which track you are referring to.
Ok, thanks!
