I jusy applied ArcticFX's Urban Camo to my Attak. I did it myself and it's a snap to do. It took about 4 hours for all standard vinyls and another couple hours for custom tank wrap.

The install was a little tedious, but anybody, I mean anybody could do it. They do recommend, and I second, using their Rapid Tac application fluid --- you just spray down the tacky side of the vinyl and the fairing where you will apply the vinyl. Then you have some time to manipulate the vinyl to get it into place. You can also use heat to stretch and place the vinyl if you encounter bends or curves. I had Jorday there send me extra camo vinyl and I also wrapped most of my tank --- I had to cut custom pieces for this because they have no kit for the Apex tank. So it's not perfect, but it looks very nice and was pretty easy to do. You have to apply smaller pieces of vinyl on the tank, because you could never apply one large piece -- the vinyl won't stretch that far and you'd have too many small overlaps and creases --- or as Jordan at ArcticFX said -- "it'd be like trying to perfectly wrap a newspaper around a basketball, just won't work out well." But applying smaller pieces turned out very nice and professional. Heck, I should've kept my templates and sold them back to Jordan!!!!!!!!!

The Urban Camo wrap is sweet and looks nice. One thing though, you may want to ask questions about exact coloring when making purchase, because the kit I was sent varied a lot from the photos showing on the web site. (Mine is black where the demo's is grey, and silver where the demo shows it being black, and is white where the demo is black). Go figure..........

I was sort of disppointed at first, but now I like it because it is different. It actually looks better than the demo photos according to my fiance and others whom I've showed photos. I am pleased. the sled is balck and the kit accents it very nicely and really stands out.

But the vinyl quality is great and the application is a snap. It's so easy that you'd be a fool to pay for install. A good home project and opportunity to spend time with the sled I say!

I even applied the vinyls right over the OEM stickers. As warned, there is slight (very slight) lines showing where those are covered, but it is so small it is unnoticeable and it even adds texture and depth to the vinyl. They are basically the same shape and in the same locations anyways, but the arctic vinyls are much larger and more colorful......

So the vinyls will go directly over the existing stickers if you don't want to take the time to scrape those off first. There is no issues with the vinyls adhering over the OEM stickers and its better to apply that way in my estimation.

All in all, I recommend Arctic FX. I really do. If I ever figure out how, I'll attempt to put up photos for all to see. The sled is really improved and is more original now by far than it looked stock.

About pics --- I have lots, but I am never successful posting photos up on TY website --- it always says thay are too large. I've tried all the recommendations to resize, but have been unsuccessful. So if you want pics, send me your email and I can email photos!

I may have entered the digital age!!!!!! Or at least I just opened a Photobucket account...... does that count????????????

I then uploaded my new photos there and I think this will work! Thank you Kinger for the idea!

I sure hope this works.....

The little guy is my son Tyler. He likes snowmobiles already enough to rival even the most crazed TY'ers. No kidding -- he is an obsessed maniac about Them. His favorite sled by far is my Mountain Viper -- he goes to it every time. He likes the blue, so I know he'll be a Yamaha junkie! He is sitting on the Attak here because I was working on it, and he wanted in on the action.

I think the Urban Camo vinyl wrap turned out very professional. Like I said, they have the basic kit, I had them send me more and I improvised and wrapped a lot more of the sled. The tank is the hardest. It would look better if you could wrap it in 1 or 2 pieces, but that is impossible. You have to use smaller pieces and try to match them up as best as you can........

What does everyone think???
