I live in WI and found a used Viper in Old Forge so I am trying to figure out if there is a legitimate way to buy it. The two big concerns are, what condition is it really in and getting it to WI. Shipping is figured out, now I am trying to figure out how to look it over before making an offer.

Thank you motorboat! I talked to the owner tonight and it sounds like it is in good condition. Problem is that you can't tell wear on joints, steering parts, engine mounts etc. without touching. A little concerned after talking to him, it has the 1.75 lug track with studs and had no idea what I was talking about when I asked if he had the tunnel protector installed when the track was studded.

Viper came from the factory with tunnel protectors. One of the things I’d be more concerned about is how it starts both hot and cold. Ask him some questions on that, have him send you videos of a couple cold starts and a couple warm starts. Shouldn’t be hard to do a walk around video just grabbing the different wear areas and giving it a good tug to make sure everything is tight.
