The Jackshafts have different part numbers (RX-1 = 8FA-17681-00-00 / Apex = 8FU-17681-00-00) but sometimes Yamaha does that just because they are different years and still the same part. Does anyone know if they are interchangeable?
Yes The jackshaft, driveshaft and gear box are the same. I have used jackshafts and driveshafts out of wrecked Apex along with gear box to restore damaged RX's The reverse shaft linkage is different (shorter throw) but will work.
