are they joking?

Instead of complaining go buy something else. Pretty simple concept for most but clearly not for all. I will now move along, because I know it is only your opinion that can be expressed. That reminds me. Is anybody having trouble with their handwarmers?

What are we talkin about havn't read the whole thead can anybody fill me in . O my handwarmers are workin awsome ;)!

here's a simple concept for you. Instead of worrying about what other people post worry about yourself. You remind me of people I call the speed limit police. You know the guy that drives the speed limit in the left lane on the freeway and doesn't let people pass. then he gets mad when you go around him. In some cases he speeds up to stop you. You are the post police. Everyone can post just as long as you deem there post ok.

WOW you can't seem to read. People aren't talking about hyfax. they are talking about the lineup as a whole. Just because you like doesn't mean they have to. Now move along!!!

You should take your own advice. Last year you complained nonstop about the price increase and bought one anyway. Maybe its time to try another brand. If your not happy, the best way to get your message across is to vote with your wallet, not by demeaning other members because they disagree with your OPINION. You can always sell whatever it might be and come back.

I personally own an attak and a 1200. Yamaha didn't have anything my wife wanted so we went elsewhere. Life is too short to tie your hopes and dreams to any one company.

The 136-144's can be set up to go just fine in powder. Can't have both the lake racer and an off tail sled at the same time in an Apex. I have zero problems with mine properly set up.

I have over 10k miles on mine and am on the second set of sliders(almost gone) without going to larger wheels. Maybe I just got lucky. :dunno:

This reminds me of polaris. Same old stuff other then the rush which in my opinion isn't even that special.

Well said rw. Life is full of options, enjoy what you ride and do! Keeps your blood pressure down. Peace.

I paid 11K for my 2011 otd. that's the same as the cost of a 2010 OTD. Would ahve never paid the 13 grand they wanted for a snow check.

Many have felt 2 stroke was good enough yet Yamaha took a leap delivered a 4 stroke engine and they have not done much since. Those that were happy are still on the 2 stroke side because they choose to stay happy with what they have.

I am simply asking for Yamaha to provide a sled that will loose some weight with improved handling and be competive against the other three brands.

Finally, the handwarmers are a joke.. How do you think the Yamaheater came about?

Ya I know. The handwarmer line in my post was a joke! I knew about them and still bought two of them since. I still think Yamaha makes the best sled for me and when they don't, ill look elsewhere and not complain about Yamaha for 6 months. Peace.

I love Yamaha boys and if i had to guess If i can find a left over 2011 in the fall I'll be on a Yamaha again. So don't think I'm a hater.

I just got back from a 4 hour ride on my Yamaha. Fresh groomed with 1 foot of new, never thought once about the 2012's...

To me change is more about marketing (fooling the customer into thinking he or she is getting something that much better) as it is about progression.

I consider real change to be something that is a significant improvement such as a new design. How often does this really happen? The rest of the time its just the manufacturer fooling you into believing your getting something better when in reality its not, its just different. No offense but anyone squawking about "change" is just guilty of falling for the marketing hype.

I rode two Ski-Doos last weekend, one was the first year they made the REV (I think it was an '03...(it used to have a beaver tail) and the other was a 2011 E-Tech. As far as on the trail goes did they feel any different? Somewhat, but in the end they were still the same machine. When compared to other brands they felt very similar to each other. The newer one was a little more refined but the difference was no more than two of the same exact machines set up a completely different way.

I know I know...a bunch of you are going to harp on me about the specs and how the new machine is so much better yada yada...Yes it felt different, but only in terms of refinement. It's still the same machine. Despite a list of a million changes I am sure Ski-Doo claims they have made, in the end the two were well within proximity of each other in terms of how they felt on the trail. So how much effect did those "Changes" really have?

Just so you know...I have been riding sleds all of my life so its not just me. My Doo buddies thought I was crazy for saying it but everyone else with us agreed. They were just victims of more marketing strategy. They read the articles and Ski-Doo brochures and convince themselves of how significant the so called changes made really are. In the end, they are just refinements of the same machine and no matter how you look at it...It's still a REV.

That being said, how much legit change has any manufacturer made in past 10 years?Thats before we even consider if all that "change" wasn't just trial and error they needed to do to keep up.

06 nytro rider here. people said slides wear out got 3500 on my first set, people said warmers dont work funny my hands are always warm maybe if i wore latex exam gloves they might get cold. and by the way how much horsepower do you need how many more dead sledders do we need? you guys are looking for a lake racer out of the box forget about it not gonna happen, build one if you want it will tougher than any of any of the other out of the box racers. i live in a sledding area i cant count the number of bent xp's blown doo motors and blown cat motors. and dont get me started im tired of towing and loading my buds polaris by hand this time he broke a dive shaft.
