Very similar to the RX-1.
I've been riding with Flipper a few times on very cold days. We both took the approach of pretty much ignoring the build up.
On the second morning I ended up stopping to clear out some ice that was grinding badly. Flipper didn't clear out any, but said his had been grinding too. Also, looking under each they were similar build ups.
We'll see how things go when we do some of the larger trips in the future.
BTW, my sled is an 05 RX-1 ER, Flippers is an 05 Vecter ER.

i have this problem since the first day, but except for the weight you carry, is'nt that bad. I broke it about 2 or 3 time a day with hand, not that hard if you didnt wait to her to froze hard.
But, be careful, dont leave the ice on the trail, sometime i have real big block, 15 inch wide by 4 or 5 inch wide and 2 0r 3 innch thick

I have had this same ice build up on my rs vector. Sounds just horrible with the knocking under the skid. I just live with it and make sure i clear the suspension before and after i ride. I tried to bang it off the ground a few times but riding in the UP at -30 below temps, the ice might as well be welded to the suspension. I have had some success with lightly oiling the entire suspension after i have melted off all the ice in the garage and it seems to cut down on the build up considerabley.
