I keep hearing about a big North East shoot out at one of the local drag strips in upstate NY, I believe it's Cicero, NY ( near Syracuse ) People are telling me there are supposed to be over 200-300 modified drag sleds, factories, big teams, etc..... anybody hear??? any body gonna race???
I think it's in June or july.

yes, pro-sled shootout July 14 and 15 at ESTA (Cicero). There is quick 16 classes and a bracket race. Porobably around 200 sleds. A handful to TY members will be taking part, including myself, stoutner, buster696, nyattack, and others coming to watch. Some of the fastest sleds in the country, race teams, but no real factory support for asphalt. It's always a great time.

I think the amount of sleds is much exagerated. I will be ther.

see www.estadrags.com for info.

You'd be surprised wayne. The entire side where we pit is packed. Gates open Friday night for people to get in and park the trailers. I'll try to put up a couple pics tomorrow.

The 1st time I went to ESTA, there were over 300 sleds that year. In 05 when I went, it rained all day Friday, and till 3pm on Saturday, so a lot of people didn't show. (But the girl on top of the camper with no underwear did....and the girl with the dog....)

This was last year, looking one direction then the other in the pits.

I drove straight from here to Dynotech back in October and it was a 20-21 hour drive straight through! That was no fun! I think the total round trip was around 2400 miles!

I wish I lived closer to Dynotech! I'd probably be there every other week! Right now I'm planning another trip back in Sept-Oct for some more dyno time! Jim's a great guy.

You guys should get a bunch of sleds and see if EJCamaro can haul them out. He is the one who loaded all of Magic's stuff up and brought it down to PINKS. He lives in Wisconson or Minisota some place. If a bunch of you guys all had sleds on his rig he picks up loads across the states and it pays his way there. You could then fly in to Syracuse and save the 20+ hour drive. It would be awesome to see all you guys from the mid-west out there. Doug

Anyone know if Jeff Simon will finally make it out with his machine this year???

Last time I spoke with Jeff he was not planning on running at all this summer. That was in the early part of June.
