I have an 03 rx1 and my wife has an 06 attack. How do I know if the clutch components are still stock or have been upgraded. I am going to install the k&n filters, 165 jets, CR10EK plugs, silver carb springs as well as the evac system and I want to see if I can get some better preformance out of my rx1 but don't know what it has now as far as clutching goes. What would be the best clutch kit for this set up.

Now I am confused about the air filter mod. Just read about sled dogs mod and I am thinking about it instead of the k&n's

03 RX-1 i believe came with y-s-y primary spring and pink secondary spring set at 60 degrees. If you have those springs mostly likely its all stock.

I'd switch the body work and let the old lady ride the RX thinking it is the attack :jump:

Long before you do the air box mod or filters I would clutch it. That is your biggest bang for the buck and you notice the diff as soon as you launch it. Running the filters adds a lot of unwanted engine noise up front and the gain is not that noticeable. You can measure it in .01's on a drag strip but not in the real world.

I agree with yamadog... get Ulmers clutch kit and hang on... If you want an intake mod then go with the airbox mod, I had it and it works very well, best bang for your buck is clutching though,, imo...

Thanks guys those are some of the answers I was looking for. When I do go with a intake mod I will try the air box mod first. It is the cheapest, all it will cost is the jets and I already have them.

Thanks JROCK I will check.

Yamadog, I have thought about that allright. She beat me in a race the other day. I took her out of the hole but once she got going she caught me prety quick, aaarrrrggg.......I was thinking that I should tell her that I am installing a new thunmb warmer for her and glue a peice of wood under the throttle. LOL
